Living with scalp folliculitis takes some time. It has taken me hundreds of dollars and many remedies to finally allow my hair to grow and to accept this condition upon my scalp. I have favorite times during a day to scratch my head. I wear a hat or ball cap at other times and sometimes I wear nothing at all and just allow my head to be free. It has been five years since the onset and the stuff has covered my whole head more than once. For a long time I shaved my head bald. Since this past New Year 2016 I haven't cut my hair at all and it is growing longer and longer. The less I focus upon the folliculitis the less it bothers me. I have given up on the expensive shampoos, the rinses, the medicines, the creams and just wash my hair regularly and used a cream rinse. That's it.
I spent years researching, but there really is nothing to be found. I had three biospies, nothing but folliculitis and one actenic keratosis. What causes it, unknown. Source, unknown. How long does it last, unknown. There has been no testing or studies to my knowledge on the subject.
It is just something to ACCEPT and LIVE on as happily as possible. Just keep the hair watched and wear a hat to keep your hand from touching it often. That's all.

HEALING ONE HAIR AT A TIME
April 2016 YOU ARE NOT ALONE. OVER 16,000 OF US HAVE FOUND THIS BLOG!
My dear seeker of a cure for your itchy sticky scalp. I just don't know what it is either. I have been searching and trying all kinds of things to help with this infection in the roots of my hair. Its been four years now and counting. I realized last night that I have come to terms with it and I don't want to fight it anymore I have surrendered that this is in the roots and I will have to live with it the rest of my life. Which will not be that long, I am 68 years old now.
Right now what I am doing is allowing my shaved head to grow back hair! It bothers me, but I still want some hair for a change. I now use Dr.Bonners Hemp Oil liquid soap with peppermint. I just pour that stuff on my head and massage it in then rinse in a hot shower. After a rinse I pour a mixture of Chinese herbs that I put in boiling water and allowed it to cool over my head and massage that into my scalp, then towel dry. That stops the itching for some hours. I wear hats to keep my hands from feeling of my scalp.
What I have noticed since I have been doing this treatment and allowing my hair to grow longer is simple. I have naturally blond now turning silver hair color, when I look in the mirror at the color of the roots I see more light colored roots that black. The blacker roots stand out in the part through the lighter roots. In the past it was all black roots. Maybe just maybe it is all getting better up on top, I highly recommend going to a Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist. They know so much. One of the benefits of course would be a boost in the immune system which my doctor gives me when I go. You can also ask for something to help with the nervousness that comes with the itching.
I am asking the Angels to help you. Ask your guardian angels to help you and do what that tell you.

Just a quick note to let you know I am thinking about you. I want you all to know that in the years I have been posting this blog over 15,500 of us have come to view these pages!!!! YOU ARE NOT ALONE with this dis ease of the scalp and hair.
My next step is to wait for my tax return then head out to another Traditional Chinese doctor who specializes in neurology, that's the nervous system. I have problems when I drive with that sticky stuff shooting up into my hairs! I have become quite sensitive to sounds, energy, electronics, driving, riding in a car, noise and oh did I say that sweating was agony for my scalp.
So we will continue on with our quest for the cure. How do we find the cure? Its by looking at our bodies as a whole organism and going deeper, this stuff is coming from the inside of me up into my scalp, its not outside until it comes out from the roots of my hairs. I am constantly with my hands on my head unless I wear a hat!
Don't forget to wear a hat, give your arms and fingers a break. Light weight hats are a must for me.

SENSITIVITY to Technology

Love and Light to you. Glad you found my blog. It's an ongoing account of my troubles with scalp folliculitis.
Just recently I have been having an idea about what could cause my body to send up tiny little bubbles of fluid through the roots of my hair, especially when I drive or ride in the car.
I feel like I have a extremely sensitive sense of electromagnetic energy and my body reacts to it when I am in the car, or hearing loud voices or on the cell phone or sitting here at this PC typing. Running electrical objects like a vacuum clearner, blender, juicer, etc. sending those bubbles up.
Frankly the only time there are no fluid bubbles......SLEEPING. Complete resting state. Calm. Quiet. No electronics.
I told my husband this, I said, "maybe I have been abducted by ETs and I don't remember it, but "they" planted something in my head and it wants to come out because there is something inside my skull that keeps moving around and feels lumpy and stretches my scalp up so tight it almost hurts.
Sometimes I get a headache and my eyes feel sore too. My body also shakes, trembles at times. I feel this stuff in my scalp is from my central nervous system or coming from misfiring of the neurons in my brain waves.????
I use to wear reading glasses, not I can see great up close it's my far sighted vision which is all blurred now....how did that happen?
Now I am incredibly devoted to spirituality. I co create and counsel others with the angels and the ascended masters. These are much faster frequencies than three dimensional reality, so all these symptoms could be coming from the much prayer and devotion that I do every day.
Basically I still have no real answers, but I did want to keep in touch with you. Maybe you have the answers....please comment.

Have a great winter
Just a quick note to let you know I am thinking about you and hope you have a great winter.
You know that my biopsy also said that I had no fungus no yeast no herpes!
I am so much more comfortable and scratch my head less since I have been using the Chinese Herbs!
I just started taking a new herb today. I was prescribed by dermatology an antibiotic. Its cost, $465.00 for 60, 2 a day for 30 days.
My Chinese Dr. Liu says my liver really shouldn't have it and it was supposed to go on for 30 days, so Dr. Liu started me on herbals orally to kill the infection...that way my liver is safe and I didn't even spend $100. So we will see how this new round of herbals will effect the ole head. One thing that Dr.Liu told me today was" the scalp is different from the skin". She also gave me another topical that is mixed with vinager to use on my scalp.

Staph Infection, Scalp Infection, Follicullitis
Thanksgiving 2015
Love and Light continue to stream through the days. I wanted to get back to this blog to record the report from my biopsy. I am very glad I do not have the demodex parasites! I know I had them because the burrows were all over my scalp from them tracking around. But this particular biopsy showed none. Yeah!
Looks like that herbal rinse from my Chinese Acupuncturist did the job.
My scalp is still infected however. The LAB called it chronic folliculitis. I had two friends in the follicles.
"There is a follicle that is surrounded by lymphocytes and histiocytes." Now who are these guys and what are they doing there?
The quest to discover the origin of this case is still ongoing. How did I get what I have on my head? Four years now and counting.
Don't forget to ask your Chinese Acupuncturist to give you something to stop the itch of it all. These little
pills she gave me take the sting, crawl and itch off of my scalp. Love YOU.

Sticky Jelly like substance on my scalp and the roots of my hair"

Thanks for reading my blog, especially when you are trying to find answers to the annoying itch you have on your head and what the ------is coming out of the roots of your hair.??????? Last week I had my third biopsy for these symptons! I have two stitches in my scalp and need to wait one more week to find out if I have demodex parasites in the roots of my hair. I contacted the dermatologist that I went to four years ago for my first biopsy. I did have Folliculitis! " But what causes it?" " Just scratching your head and why are you scratching your head?" " Nerves!" " You need to see a therapist.""
Four years of shaving my head using everything I could get my hands on to ease my problem scalp. The sticky stuff just building up more and more so that my head felt as though I had paper mache on it. I could no longer feel my true scalp. It was under there somewhere.
Just last Mother's Day 2015 I found out about the demodex parasite. I ordered the demodex shampoo, conditioner and leave in solution from Amazon. It has really helped. In addition I begin washing first with Dr. Bonners Hemp/ Lavender liquid soap.(health food section of your grocery store.) These products starting washing away the sticky.
Just since September I found an authentic acupuncturist from China and she knew what to mix together to knock down the parasites from my scalp and after shampooing each night I would rinse my hair with this solution. First I had to make it. Add this powder to boiling water, take off the burner and let cool to warm and pour over my scalp after shampooing. AWE........this solution really did the job fast, pretty soon layer upon layer of the paper mache or hardened matted hair begin to separate and come clean again.
I can actually feel my true scalp again, but this hasn't rid my problem yet. My head still itches and is covered with the sticky stuff in all roots, but I have let my hair grow out since Mothers Day, I no longer shave it all off, so I have found great relief.
This current biopsy is for knowledge to share with you and others. We need to know. Modern dermatology in our country USA doesn't recognize demodex parasites in the scalp, they have no idea, so last week I had to endure once again the attitude of being "that little ole lady who is a little crazy". "OMG, here she is again!" Of course, the doctor couldn't see the clear sticky fluid at the roots of my hair, she couldn't see that my hair was stuck down to my scalp underneath the hair that she could see. She couldn't see that every single hair that was effected had darkness around the base of it.
I had often spoken in the past of the intelligence that was working on my head. My head feet so different when the sun is up. Usually in the mornings I have a head ache, the evenings my hair and head feet different. I say, "whatever it is on my head is very smart, it protects itself with the sticky stuff, so nothing can penetrate the roots of my hairs. Then the criss- crossing of my hair to make it matte down, give protection. All the burrows up and down through the scalp are be protected by the matting. Every other row of my hair in a section will vanish except a short stubble at the root, while the row of hair in between is stuck down in the middle. Those little ballons of fluid come right up out of the hair root POP and spread the sticky protective substance.
My family always tell me "stop touching your head, it would be better if you stop"!!! When this intelligence is working an area, my fingers want to be there to separate the hairs that are sticking together. This intelligence works in spirals around and around and around and also in straight lines, that's how the matting happens. Very smart wouldn't you say.
So, I AM thinking it is demodex parasites and I have been praying and praying that we will be able to give DERMATOLOGY great NEWS! So many of us have this condition.
